On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for an Account Manager, Defence & Security to join their team at their office location in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
As an integral member of the Defence and Security team, the Account Manager will work closely with Sales, Production/Operations, Product Management, Business Intelligence, Technical Support, and Finance to ensure efficient and effective Sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management (with a focus on Defence & Security).
- Support and expand on new business opportunities with the Global Market.
- Responsible for the health of the customer relationship and success for both the customer and MetOcean.
- Work to be valued by the customer as a trusted advisor and a reliable focal point for business and systems issues.
- Provide customers with knowledge of products and services.
- Fully understand the customer's business challenges, culture, and environment, specifically market trends, future technology, competition, and partners that may affect the customer's business.
- Represent the company at the highest level to clients, peer organizations, and business associates.
- Maintain a high profile in professional and community organizations.
- Contract Management.
- RFP/RFQ/RFI, Technical proposal preparation.
- Customer training and information sessions.
- Follow the MetOcean Sales Process with daily updates and opportunity tracking in SFDC.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 2-4 years of related experience in Sales/Account Management/Inside Sales of technical products.
Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:
- Strong business acumen.
- A professional demeanor and ability to interact with the highest levels both inside and outside the organization.
- Successful in proactively creating and maintaining strong internal and external relationships with centers of influence, team members, and management.
- Proven ability to proactively engage with leaders and facilitate discussions.
- Strong organizational and business management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Ability to obtain CANADA and NATO security clearance.
- Available to travel domestically and internationally.
Technical and Non-Technical Skills:
- Has the aptitude to understand the full breadth of the company's products and services.
- Is extremely self-sufficient and can deliver necessary work with minimal supervision.
- Has a strong sense of customer service.
- Demonstrates excellent skills in working as part of a team.
