Role Description:

As the Director of Real Estate Operations, you will lead the company's day-to-day operations across leasing, building operations, and organizational development. This role will be instrumental in modernizing internal systems, strengthening risk management, and ensuring the company's real estate assets are operated effectively and sustainably. You will work alongside ownership and will take primary responsibility for internal operations, building systems oversight, leasing execution, vendor management, and operational reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead all aspects of internal operations, including leasing, maintenance, capital planning, risk management, and organizational systems;
  • Improve internal reporting systems to provide ownership with visibility into leasing, maintenance, financial operations, and project progress;
  • Oversee day-to-day building operations and preventative maintenance programs, implement vendor contracts, inspection protocols, and capital expenditure forecasting, and ensure ongoing compliance with life safety, accessibility, insurance, and regulatory requirements;
  • Lead lease renewal strategies, oversee marketing efforts for vacant space, and monitor deal progress from initial inquiry to signed lease, as well as coordinate tenant onboarding, improvement projects, and the negotiation of lease terms and work letters;
  • Oversee capital projects, including tenant fit-outs, renovations, and base building upgrades, manage external contractors and consultants to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality execution;
  • Mentor and guide operational team members to create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and improvement.

Your Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate, you're passionate about real estate that balances high-quality development with meaningful community engagement. You have extensive experience leading real estate operations within a mixed-use portfolio. You are entrepreneurial and strategic in nature, and not afraid to use technology to your advantage. You are a proven leader who has experience implementing change while building strong and resilient teams.

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or facilities management, or a related field is preferred;
  • 10+ years of progressive experience across mixed-use, office, retail or multi-residential asset classes;
  • Experience implementing digital tools and operational software (e.g., maintenance, leasing, or project management platforms);
  • Practical, hands-on operational leader;
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on execution and risk mitigation.
  • Strong relationship builder with tenants, vendors, contractors, and internal teams;
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to operational detail;
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
  • Committed to long-term asset stewardship and value creation;
