Standish Management is a provider of specialized fund administration services for Managers and General Partners of private equity funds, specifically: Buy?out, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Fund?of? Funds. For new General Partners, they provide consulting services to help accelerate the launch of their funds in addition to our full fund administration services. For established General Partners, they provide administration services and technology to whole fund families or select funds, to help scale their fund operations rapidly and efficiently.
We are thrilled to partner with them looking to bring a highly skilled and strategic Cayman AML Compliance Senior Manager to their team.
This role is integral to ensuring the organization's adherence to Cayman regulatory standards, upholding robust compliance frameworks, and cultivating a strong governance culture. The Senior Manager will oversee the development and continuous enhancement of compliance policies, monitor day-to-day operations to ensure strict compliance, lead investigations into incidents, and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation. This position demands a deep expertise in industry best practices, advanced problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams to drive effective compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development, review, and continuous enhancement of compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee and manage the daily compliance operations, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards across the organization.
- Monitor compliance metrics and report any deviations, proactively identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions.
- Partner with Senior Leadership and Directors to cultivate a robust compliance culture, promoting organizational awareness and accountability for compliance.
- Lead investigations into complex compliance breaches and non-compliance incidents, recommending strategic corrective actions and collaborating with key stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of compliance records, assessments, and incident resolutions, maintaining documentation for audits, regulatory reporting, and internal governance purposes.
- Mentor and guide Team Leads and Managers to foster professional development and empower the team to execute on compliance priorities.
- Address complex compliance challenges with a forward-thinking, proactive approach, utilizing both conventional and innovative solutions to mitigate risks.
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive risk mitigation strategies, ensuring robust compliance frameworks across the organization.
- Engage with senior executives and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance to inform strategic decision-making and ensure compliance considerations are embedded in key initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by staying at the forefront of regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging best practices, ensuring the organization's compliance posture remains agile and resilient.
- Actively contribute to organizational strategic planning, ensuring that compliance priorities are integrated into broader business objectives and long-term goals.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Risk Management, Accounting, Finance)
- 12+ years of proven experience in working with Cayman risk compliance, reporting, and governance, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record in policy development, compliance monitoring, and incident management.
- Strong leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to guide and develop junior staff.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A keen understanding of Cayman industry trends, regulations, and the financial landscape.
