What you will do:
By joining the Kings Landing team, you will be part of bringing history to life! With approximately 140 employees working across 300 scenic acres and more than 70 historic buildings, Kings Landing offers a unique and rewarding work environment where every role contributes to creating memorable experiences for our visitors. Whether your skills are in guest services, interpretation, operations, or food services, you'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to preserving the past and inspiring curiosity. Artisan II (Education Team):

  • This role runs from the end of June to the end of August, helping to oversee our Visiting Cousins and Family Kin overnight camps
  • Providing historic interpretation for a new group of children every week
  • Doing demonstrations of historical crafts and games
  • Partaking in school lessons

Prep/Restaurant Cook:

  • This role runs from the end of May to mid-October, working with our dedicated team at the King's Head Inn
  • Preparing food
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen
  • Ordering supplies
  • Helping to dream up new menu items
  • Tracking inventory

Sales and Service Attendant:

  • This role runs from the end of May to mid-October, working at the Welcome Centre as the first point of contact for all our visitors
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Taking payments
  • Offering recommendations
  • Answering questions about our village

Security Officer:

  • This role runs from the end of May to mid-October, patrolling Kings Landing grounds
  • Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment for all who work at and visit Kings Landing

Who you are:
You are organized, and self-motivated with great interpersonal skills. You communicate effectively in writing and in person, delivering excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities. You work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members across departments. You bring creativity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a genuine interest in creating exceptional guest experiences.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Required Competencies:

  • Education and experience requirements vary according to the role.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Some positions require written and spoken competence in French and English. Others will require written and spoken competence in English or in French only. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
Artisan II: $27.72 per hour
Prep Cook: $26.87 per hour
Restaurant Cook: $30.44 per hour
Sales and Service Attendant: $25.67 per hour
Security Officer: $26.87 per hour

Work environment:

  • Office location: Kings Landing, Prince William, NB
  • Standard Hours of work vary from role to role:
    • Artisan II: Monday to Friday, varying shifts including shifts, evenings and some overnights
    • Cooks: Monday to Sunday, varying shifts including some evenings
    • Sales and Service Attendant: Monday to Sunday, all shifts typically between 9:00AM-5:30PM
    • Security Officer: Monday to Sunday, varying shifts including evenings and overnights
  • Working outdoors, in period appropriate costume
