This is a new position within Court Services. The duties previously associated with the legal (lawyer) court administrators have been parceled into two positions with all legal work being retained by the legal officers. The successful candidate in this Clerk position will have administrative and managerial oversight responsibilities.
What you will do
As the Clerk-Administrator, Family Division, of the Court of King's Bench, the successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the Family Court and Small Claim's registry in the Campbellton judicial district. This entails reviewing all files related to court proceedings, assessing their validity and completeness, and accepting or rejecting them based on established criteria. The Clerk-Administrator will provide guidance to court participants and stakeholders, support the judiciary, promote access to justice and maintain the integrity of legal proceedings. The Clerk will lead, direct, manage and coach the team of ASLs and Court Stenographers who support the effective and efficient operation of the Court of King's Bench.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Arts or Public Administration, Law or related field, and five (5) years of related work experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years of management/supervisory experience is required.
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage
$2,600.00 - $3,631.00 biweekly depending on education and experience.
Work environment
- Office Location: Campbellton Justice Building
- Minimum 36.25 work hours per week
