Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring an Electrical Engineering Co-op student for the Summer term with our Control Centre Operations team at our Lakeside office. During your time with us, you will gain exposure to what it's like to be part of our team.
Key elements of this role include:
- Supporting operation and design of the Distribution network
- Review customer servicing submissions and fault level requests
- Update underground drawing records and support markups of new revisions
- Gathering field data and reviewing historical information on distribution assets
- Develop understanding of electrical overcurrent and protective devices on the distribution system
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
These skills will make you successful:
Working as a valued part of our Regional Engineering team, you recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:
- Working towards an Electrical Engineering degree and ideally be in the 2nd to 4th year of your studies.
- Strong computer and analytical skills are a must for this role.
- Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and leader with proven organizational skills and must be able to perform effectively in a team environment.
- You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as demonstrate strong facilitation and presentation abilities.
