Placement Description:
This placement will introduce the student to the role of an Employment Counsellor and the many components involved in developing Employment Action Plans for clients. It will include exposure to key functions such as conducting Needs Assessments, supporting Skill Enhancement, guiding Job Search activities, and promoting Employment Maintenance strategies. The student will also gain an understanding of labour market information and how it informs client needs and service planning. WorkingNB provides New Brunswickers with a wide range of programs and services. Throughout the placement, the student intern will be mentored through the Employment Counselling process, including how clients access our services and how counsellors support them in achieving sustainable employment outcomes. This role offers an opportunity for skills development with career-focused trainings, self-development workshops, and personalized mentorship.
Need to have:

• Language requirement: English
• Currently enrolled in Education, Community, Social Sciences, Business, or other related post-secondary program.
