DUTIES

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating training delivery for Gardiner Centre's approximately 6,100 clients annually. This role manages the relationships with over 50 different instructors including faculty members, external consultants, and guest speakers. The Training Coordinator is responsible for the successful delivery of both in-person and online training. The position works closely with the team and oversees the work of the Training Assistant to ensure client needs and quality standards are met. Duties will include identifying strategies for training delivery initiatives and assisting in their implementation; recognizing opportunities for continuous improvement and making and implementing recommendations for change; managing Gardiner Centre's online training, including course or program set-up, instructor materials distribution, and participant access; collaborating with Gardiner Centre staff responsible for open-enrollment training, custom training, marketing, and hosting on a variety of training delivery issues; planning, scheduling, and booking instructors for online and in-person training; communicating with participants and instructors to coordinate training delivery; maintaining training calendars with scheduled course dates and instructors; eliciting and managing implementation of stakeholder requirements for all aspects of training; liaising with custom group training clients to solicit participant information; managing training records in Gardiner Centre database, including registration for custom group training and tracking attendance; preparation and distribution of certificates; preparation and distribution of online evaluation forms and compilation and distribution of evaluation form data to stakeholders; generating training reports in the Gardiner Centre database; requesting, reviewing, and managing materials received from instructors and coordinating special materials and assessments; classroom set-up, including electronic presentation materials and individual participant materials; interacting with onsite and virtual clients to ensure customer service standards are met; troubleshooting and resolving training delivery issues to ensure training quality and that instructor and customer service standards are met; compiling statistics for reporting and to inform other areas of business including sales and marketing; hiring and managing student assistants in support of training delivery; and other related duties as required. Flexibility with regard to work hours, including occasional evening and weekend work, is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (3-5 years) in event planning and logistics, preferably in a training environment; completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. This role requires knowledge, skills, and abilities in public engagement, customer service, project management, program coordination and delivery, website management, database management, learning management systems, online survey tools, scheduling, and event planning and logistics. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think independently, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and react quickly to resolve issues while managing multiple priorities.

SALARY $55,865 - $83,793 per annum (Management and Professional)
