About Memorial University of Newfoundland
Memorial University is one of the largest universities in Atlantic Canada. It was established as a memorial to Newfoundlanders who lost their lives on active service during the First World War and subsequent conflicts. As the province’s only university, Memorial has a special obligation to the people of the province and plays an integral role in education and continuing development in the region.
