Who we are:
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Agent(e) pédagogique en petite enfance within the regional team of the District scolaire francophone Nord-Ouest.

The développement de la petite enfance division is responsible, among other things, for evaluating and implementing the educational curriculum for Francophone childcare services in New Brunswick.

What you will do:

  • Co-develop, plan, and adapt professional development learning modules and workshops individually, as a team, and in collaboration with the preschool pedagogy specialist, aligned with the curriculum framework and based on sector observations and feedback.
  • Lead and support, through coaching, a collaborative approach to professional learning focused on improving reflective practice, advancing pedagogical leadership, and strengthening existing quality.
  • Provide on-site resources and support to enhance the understanding of responsible persons, including directors and educators, regarding high-quality practices linked to the Francophone childcare curriculum, inclusive pedagogical practices, and inclusive environments for young children.
  • Assess the implementation of the Curriculum éducatif des services de garde francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick using specific tools such as the indicator tool.
  • Offer on-site coaching and mentoring based on the establishment's individual needs and challenges, in response to curriculum implementation assessments and in the development of quality improvement plans aimed at enhancing practices and understanding of the Curriculum éducatif des services de garde francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick impact.
  • Deliver professional learning sessions and workshops tailored to early childhood programs and services under the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and school districts.
  • Participate in joint initiatives (various committees) with the school district, EECD, and partners to support smooth transitions and quality learning experiences during the early childhood period (ages 0-8).
  • Support inclusive pedagogical practices.

Who you are:

  • You have in-depth knowledge of the Early Childhood sector as well as Early Learning facilities.
  • You can assess early childhood pedagogical and inclusive practices with attention to detail and analyze results to close identified gaps.
  • You are capable of leading groups, virtually or in person, and providing individual coaching.
  • You can adapt quickly, deliver high-quality client service, and collaborate effectively with team members and partners.
  • You are client-focused and operate in alignment with the New Brunswick Public Service Values.

Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
Pay Band 4 - $58,474 - $81,770 annually.

Work environment:

  • Office location: Remote work - Area to be covered: District scolaire francophone Nord-Ouest
  • Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; evening and weekend work required occasionally
