WHO WE ARE:
The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour wishes to establish an inventory of qualified candidates to fill current and future vacancies of Workforce Consultant positions throughout the Province of New Brunswick. Applicants must note on their applications the location(s) for which they wish to be considered (Fredericton, Woodstock, Moncton, Saint John, Grand Falls, Edmundston, Campbellton, Bathurst, Miramichi, Caraquet, Tracadie, Shippagan).
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Reporting to the Assistant Regional Director, the Workforce Consultant is responsible for assessing human resource issues/needs of employers and will identify and coordinate timely interventions to meet those needs in areas such as recruitment, training, retention, and human resource management. The Workforce Consultant will also participate in the development and implementation of regional labour force development plans, strategies and initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of an evolving labour market. The position will assume a leadership role while participating in labour market partnerships with employers, industry associations, government departments and agencies at all levels.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education or related area and a minimum of five (5) years related work experience. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite is essential. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
The following operational requirement is also required: A valid driver's license as the position requires travel.
Some positions require written and spoken competence in French and English. Others will require written and spoken competence in English or in French only. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:
- Knowledge of Contract Management
- Working directly with employers
- Local Labour Market Knowledge
In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting, candidates with less than five (5) years of experience may be considered at a salary commensurate with their experience.

SALARY: $65,936 to $92,092 perannum.
