Internship Placement for Fall 2025 Term

Number of placements: 1

Salary: $18.00/hour

Hours per week: Flexible (around 20 hours)

Placement Duration: September – December 2025

Department: Post Secondary Education Training and Labor (PETL)

Placement Description: The student will be a support to employment counsellors and promote WorkingNB initiatives. This could include working with individuals on job search, career decision making, leasing with community partners, creating and delivering presentations and workshops, attending job fairs and creating sharable content.

This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.

Need to have:

• Language requirement: Bilingual or English
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
• Pursuing a degree with major studies in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Family Studies, Criminology, Social Work, or Social Sciences.

Nice to have: Time management, client service orientation, effective interactive communication, teamwork and cooperation, self-confidence, self-control, planning and organizing skills, as well as counselling skills.
