Placement Duration: September – December 2025
Department: Social Development (SD)
Placement Description: This position is based in our Seniors and Long-Term Care Division, and the successful candidate will work with the team to help implement division-wide initiatives and support legislative and policy development. The team collaborates across branches to advance key priorities that improve services and outcomes for seniors and long-term care recipients. The student will support policy and project work across the Division, including conducting research and analysis, and summarizing findings. They may also assist in the development of communications and presentations.
his role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.
Need to have:
- Language requirement: English or Bilingual
- Student currently enrolled in a program related to Policy, Health, Political Science, Sociology, or a related social sciences field
Nice to have: The successful candidate should have strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communication, and an ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with government processes, stakeholder engagement, or legislative/policy development is an asset but not required.
