Internship Placement for Fall 2025 Term

Placement Duration: September – December 2025
Department: Social Development (SD)
Placement Description: Both positions will support the Policy and Legislative Affairs Branch through general policy work such as conducting jurisdictional scans, drafting briefing notes, analyzing policy issues, and compiling and reviewing data. One student will focus on a departmental project to develop new Long-Term Care (LTC) legislation, while the other will support policy analysis in areas like Income Assistance, Child Welfare, and Support for Persons with Disabilities. Responsibilities may also include interpreting the Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, conducting comparative policy research across provinces, reviewing public correspondence to Ministers, and assisting with other related tasks as needed.
This role offers a valuable opportunity for skill development and hands-on policy experience.
Need to have:
- Language requirement: English or Bilingual
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program
