Who we are:
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking an individual to join the central office team in the Secteur éducatif francophone, in the position of an Early Childhood Program Consultant.
The Développement et apprentissage à la petite enfance divisionis responsible, among other things, for developing, managing, evaluating, and updating educational and developmental programs and provincial early childhood services for the Secteur éducatif francophone.
What you will do:
- Developing, evaluating, and revising programs, guidelines, and manuals;
- Managing projects and initiatives in accordance with established priorities;
- Analyzing and interpreting provincial and national programs and research based on emerging trends;
- Representing the Department and the sector by participating in ministerial, interdepartmental, provincial and federal working groups related to the program;
- Building relationships with community groups, advocacy group representatives, and government partners on program-related issues;
- Identifying information system needs required to ensure program delivery and supporting the development of such systems to achieve program objectives;
- Coordinating and facilitating meetings and providing standards, regulations, policies, and guidelines;
- Managing budgets and service agreements related to programs and projects, and analyzing accountability reports.
Who you are:
- You have in-depth knowledge of the early childhood sector, early childhood development, or educational childcare services.
- You are able to identify issues, innovate, and manage large-scale projects.
- You are capable of facilitating groups, both virtually and in person.
- You can adapt quickly to change, provide high-quality customer service, and collaborate with team members and partners.
- You are client-oriented and able to work in accordance with the New Brunswick Public Service Values.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Need to have:
- A bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, or a related discipline
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the filed of early learning and childhood development
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas: project management, program design and management, or training and group facilitation.
Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the Curriculum éducatif des services des garde fracophone du Nouveau-Brunswick.
- Knowledge of the Plan d'Éducation - Secteur francophone.

Wage:
Pay Band 5 - $66,924 - $93,470 annually.
Work environment:
- Office location: Place 2000, 250 King Street, Fredericton.
- Possibility of remote work within New Brunswick.
- Travel within the province will be required
