Environmental and Food Service Manger- Temp, Full Time

The following details will provide you with an overview of the Environmental and Food Service Manager at Roseway Manor. You will be required to supervise the employees in the Environmental and Food Service department under the umbrella of hospitality services to the residents, good working knowledge of Infection Control Standards for Long Term Care, ordering of equipment and supplies, store room management, food service, maintain department budget, work with other Department Managers and the Administrator to maintain work flow, maintain technical knowledge and establish an outside network of suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting employees to each department via an interview process
  • Scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
  • Ensure a good working atmosphere within the departments
  • Ensure satisfaction within the residents and families
  • Ensure that all Food Service Workers have the required certification to work in the food industry, if not organize the training sessions
  • Order supplies for the store room for different departments, keep room organized, and maintain an inventory
  • Supervise the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe dining environment for residents
  • Orientate, train and supervise the Food Service Worker in delivery of food service to residents at Roseway Manor
  • Maintains accurate records of purchases and warranties
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • College certificate in the Hospitality Industry
  • Food Handlers Course
  • Management Experience
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Knowledge and experience with OH&S and a unionized enviroment considered an asset
