Class 3 Driver

Job Title: Class 3 Driver
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Shift/Hours: Casual shifts
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

The Class 3 Driver will complete primarily local deliveries with occasional highway routes. This role involves safely operating a Class 3 vehicle, loading and unloading freight, maintaining accurate driver documentation, and providing professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.

This position requires someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable with both local deliveries and occasional highway driving.

Responsibilities:

• Safely complete local deliveries and occasional highway routes
• Load and unload freight while following safety procedures
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation
• Follow transportation regulations, company procedures, and safety standards
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and pickups
• Handle freight carefully to prevent damage during transport and delivery
• Complete vehicle inspections as required
• Report maintenance concerns or delivery issues to the appropriate contact
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Class 3 driver's licence required
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable driving experience
• Clean driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days required
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs. as required
• Previous local delivery or highway driving experience considered an asset
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and commitment to safe driving
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Able to work independently and follow delivery instructions
• Professional and safety-focused attitude
