Class 5 Driver

Job Title: Class 5 Driver
Location: Halifax, NS
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Class 5 Driver will be responsible for assisting with local deliveries throughout the Halifax Metro area using a cube truck or 5-ton truck. This role includes safely operating the vehicle, loading and unloading product as required, completing deliveries in a timely manner, and providing excellent customer service during each delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a cube truck or 5-ton truck safely throughout the Halifax Metro area
• Assist with local deliveries to customers and job sites
• Load and unload product as required
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required
• Follow assigned routes, delivery instructions, and company procedures
• Handle product safely to prevent damage during transport and delivery
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
• Follow all road safety, company, and customer site requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver's licence required
• Clean driver's abstract required
• Criminal background check required
• Previous delivery driving experience considered an asset
• Experience driving a cube truck or 5-ton truck considered an asset
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Able to lift, move, load, and unload product as required
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts
• Able to work independently and follow delivery instructions
• Safety-focused with a professional attitude
