Job Title: Class 1 Long Haul Driver
Location: Halifax, NS
Shift/Hours: Full-time, ongoing schedule
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience

The Class 1 Long Haul Driver will complete scheduled dry van runs throughout Canada and the United States. This role is suited for an experienced, safety-focused driver who is comfortable with cross-border transportation, long-haul routes, accurate documentation, and regular communication with dispatch and operations teams.

This position offers steady year-round work, consistent routes, and support from an experienced transportation team.

Responsibilities:

• Complete scheduled dry van runs throughout Canada and the United States
• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles in accordance with transportation regulations
• Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams
• Ensure freight is transported safely and efficiently
• Complete routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Follow company safety procedures and transportation requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driver's licence required
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
• Clean criminal record required
• Clean driver's abstract required
• FAST Card considered a strong asset
• Previous cross-border or long-haul driving experience considered an asset
• Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage long-haul schedules
• Able to communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations teams
