Job Title: Finance Administrator
Location: Downtown Toronto (Bay & Dundas St W)
Job Type: Temporary Contract (July 1st, 2025 - March 30th, 2026)
Shift/Hours: Part-time hours (3 days per week, 7.5 hours per day). Shifts scheduled between 7am-5pm EST
Work Model: Hybrid (2-3 days in office per month)
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Finance Administrator for a reputable client located in downtown Toronto. This role will involve supporting the Operations and Finance team with mining, filtering, and formatting data, developing reports for decision-making, and navigating new and emerging systems (SAP, SONAR, and Sonar 360).
Responsibilities:
- Navigating new and emerging systems (SAP, SONAR, Sonar 360) to mine data, filter data, format data, and develop reports for decision-making within the region, monitor activities, and provide results.
- Creating and maintaining master data files and records by examining online documents and discussing the contents of the file with subject matter experts to determine the appropriate data entry requirements. Consult internal stakeholders to determine the appropriate codes, etc.
- Creating databases and developing custom reports on existing corporate databases using tools such as Microsoft Excel.
- Discussing and consulting with the client user groups to proactively identify Operations and Finance data quality issues, interface with appropriate staff, and develop tool sets to assist in solving issues.
- Identifying systematic and recurring problems related to data quality of Sonar and other application systems and assisting in problem resolution by providing support services such as documenting system deficiencies, identifying causes of problems, and recommending solutions.
- Providing technical services relating to data quality issues from a regional perspective to ensure timely and effective resolution of master data applications related problems.
- Performing ongoing cleansing of master data by reviewing and monitoring the use of data, removing duplicate or erroneous data, and archiving master data no longer in use in accordance with established business rules and procedures.
- Providing reports on financial activity.
- Acting as backup to Admin staff in making travel reservations, developing itineraries, and preparing travel expense claims.
Qualifications:
- Must have Reliability Security Clearance or be open to getting it.
- Completion of 2nd year university in Finance or Accounting program.
- Senior level knowledge of managing data from multiple sources and formats.
- Proficient in SAP, SONAR, Sonar 360, and Excel.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
