Job Title: Licensed 310T Truck Mechanic

Location: Stoney Creek, ON

Shift: 6:00am start time + overtime as required - Monday-Friday

Rate of P ay: $40.00 - 42.00 /hour to start (final pay rate is determined based on experience)

Our client in Stoney Creek is hiring for a Licensed 310T Heavy Duty Mechanic. This company is a leading waste collector in the Niagara region. In the role, you would be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy-duty waste collection vehicles.

Job Duties:

• Demonstrate strong mechanical ability, to perform thorough inspections of roll-off and front load trucks (propane and diesel) to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Perform scheduled maintenance service and advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including wiring, lighting, and computerized components
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, lifting mechanisms, and other important parts to confirm that they are in proper operating condition
• Execute complex repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission work, brake system repairs, and suspension maintenance
• I dentify warrantable repairs and document on repair order
• Meeting deadlines safely and efficiently
• Work alongside co-workers, and management in a cooperative manner
• Other general duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License required
• Valid G-Class Driver's License
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Comfortable lifting 50lbs and standing/walking for long periods of time
• Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search
