Job Title: Accounting clerk
Location: Kingston, ON (Hybrid: In-Office & Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: $22-$26 per hour (based on experience)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting clerk to join our team. This is a hybrid position with both in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, be proficient with Simply Accounting, and ideally have experience in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing
- Support general day-to-day accounting functions
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in Simply Accounting
- Knowledge of the construction industry is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
