Tarp Shop Sewer / Technician

Wage: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience in tarpaulin, industrial fabric manufacturing, tents, awnings, or a similar environment. High school diploma required. Experience with sewing, heat welding, grommeting and rope installation is required. Able to read and accurately use a tape measure. Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work while standing, bending, sitting and using a ladder. Good communication skills and ability to read and follow work orders and instructions. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and willing to work overtime when required. Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills. Physically capable of performing the demands of the position. Responsibilities Manufacture and assemble tarp components from start to finished product, including packaging when required. Sew, heat weld, install grommets and rope, and perform other tarp manufacturing processes. Read and interpret work orders and specifications to determine the correct materials, measurements and production requirements. Measure and cut materials accurately according to job specifications. Perform mobile tarp repairs and other customer-related tarp repairs as required. Create masks for tarp graphics when required. Complete work within established production timelines while maintaining quality standards.
