The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blast, Body & Paint Tech to join our Finishing Team in Thamesville. This role supports all stages of the finishing process including blasting, body work, priming, and top coating to deliver high-quality finishes on agricultural equipment and components.
This is a hands-on role within a highly collaborative finishing team where flexibility, communication, and attention to detail are essential. The successful candidate will rotate between blasting, repair, and coating operations based on production priorities while helping maintain consistent finish quality and steady production flow.
What Youll Be Doing
- Perform blasting and surface preparation to achieve proper profile, cleanliness, and coating readiness
- Complete body work and surface repair, including sanding, filling, and finishing to meet quality standards
- Apply primer and topcoat finishes according to specifications while maintaining consistent coverage, film build, and appearance
- Inspect work throughout the finishing process to verify coating quality and surface condition, correcting or escalating issues as required
- Operate and support paint system equipment, including pumps, catalyst systems, and related coating equipment
- Maintain coating materials and ensure the paint area remains organized, stocked, and production-ready
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area while following all environmental, safety, PPE, and housekeeping procedures
- Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to balance workloads and maintain production flow through blasting, body, and paint operations
What Were Looking For
- Experience in industrial, automotive, or manufacturing painting and finishing environments
- Familiarity with blasting, surface preparation, coating systems, and spray equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented production environment
- Flexibility and willingness to support multiple stages of the finishing process as production needs shift
- Strong awareness of workplace safety and housekeeping standards
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
