Job Title: Construction Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Hillsborough, NB
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm
Wage: $70,000-$120,000
Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable Construction Manager to plan and oversee the progress of timber structure construction and rehabilitation projects. This position is responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of projects. Must be in Canada and hold a Canadian P.Eng certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee construction and timber rehabilitation projects from initiation through completion
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Monitor daily project progress and address any issues that arise on-site
- Prepare and maintain internal and external project status reports
- Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Anticipate project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Ensure proper construction methods and restoration techniques are followed
- Support continuous improvement in project delivery and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Valid Canadian Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation
- Minimum 4 years of project management or construction management experience
- Strong knowledge of construction management practices, methods, and procedures
- Thorough understanding of construction materials, building systems, regulations, and quality standards
- Proven ability to manage all phases of the construction process
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management abilities
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Proficiency in construction-related software and computer applications
- Ability to obtain a valid passport, work visas, and driver's license as required
- Must successfully complete Company Courses Level I and II with a minimum grade of 70%
