Back Office Investment Representative (CSC/Canadian Securities Course)

Our client, one of Canada's leading financial institutions, is seeking an Investment Processing Administrator to join its Investment Processing team in downtown Toronto area.

Please note this role is IN OFFICE 4 days a week - and remote 1 day a week. This is non negotiable.

This position has been opened to support increased peak-season volumes and will focus on day-to-day operational processing within a strictly back-office environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring investment-related transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with internal procedures and service standards.

• Process investment-related transactions, including withdrawals, transfers, and other administrative requests, while ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Review transaction details, supporting documentation, and internal system information to identify discrepancies, missing details, or items requiring follow-up.
• Support the timely completion of daily operational tasks by prioritizing work effectively and meeting established processing deadlines.
• Maintain a strong focus on data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance when handling sensitive customer and investment-related information.
• Use Microsoft Excel and internal banking systems to track, validate, organize, and report on operational data as required.
• Collaborate primarily with internal stakeholders, including operations team members, processing teams, and other internal bank departments.
• Escalate issues, exceptions, or unusual transaction activity to the appropriate internal contacts in a timely and professional manner.

• The ideal candidate will have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification or be actively working toward completion.
• Candidates should have at least 6 months of relevant experience in banking, financial services, investment processing, operations, administration, or a similar back-office environment.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required, including the ability to work with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas, and large sets of operational data.

• The Investment Processing team is made up of approximately 10 members and offers a collaborative, supportive, and team-focused environment.
• The successful candidate will receive approximately 2 weeks of training, including shadowing opportunities to learn processes, systems, and team expectations.
• The training period is designed to help the contractor build confidence in the role while gaining practical exposure to day-to-day investment processing activities.
