Homelessness Strategist (PB5)

The Department of Social Development is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Provincial Homelessness Strategy Consultant within the Homelessness Supports Unit, supporting initiatives across the province.
As a member of the Central Office Homelessness Supports Unit, the successful candidate will work across all provincial zones to implement homelessness frameworks and best practices. The role includes managing service agreements, monitoring progress, liaising with service providers, and supporting future initiatives using housing?focused, trauma?informed, and client?centred approaches. The candidate will also build strong partnerships with municipalities, service providers, and community organizations to deliver both immediate and long-term homelessness solutions including seasonal out?of?the?cold responses.
Responsibilities include managing operational and supportive housing service agreements and participating in community committees to align provincial and local actions. The role requires strong financial oversight, including budget management, contract administration, and payment processing in accordance with funding guidelines. Other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in a related discipline with at least three (3) years related work experience in homelessness or the non-profit sector, OR a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with at least five (5) years related experience work experience in homelessness, case management or the non-profit sector.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must be able to transport themselves throughout the zone.

Salary: $64,974- $90,740 per annum.
