Our Supply Chain and Purchasing teams ensure the cost effective and efficient management of purchasing of materials, services, and inventory for all Canadian operational areas of Bragg Communications Inc. (BCI) and to ensure all materials/supplies and services required are delivered to specifications, quality, quantity, and schedule, at the most cost-effective price, while ensuring business practices are compliant with laws, regulations, company policy, philosophy, and values.
We are seeking a motivated student to join our Supply Chain team at our Head Office in Halifax for the Summer term. The role will support the Supply Chain and Logistics operation. The position involves on-the-job hands-on learning. You will have a chance to work on diverse initiatives and collaborate with internal business partners. You will gain valuable skills and experience while working in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Supply Chain team in the day-to-day operation of managing inventory levels at our warehouses and inventory replenishment through our various distribution channels: Retail, Field stock (Contractors and Technician Depots) and Direct to Customer for both the Wireline Customer Premise Equipment (modems, video boxes, extenders) and Mobile inventory (mobile phones and accessories).
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies related to product setup and reporting.
- Create and implement improved reporting used to manage the business.
Requirements:
- Education: enrolled in an Engineering or Business Admin degree program, demonstrating interest in Supply Chain.
- Technical Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Thinking Skills: Ability to analyze data, think critically and provide practical solutions. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and present information clearly. Ability to work with other teams in the organization to solve cross-functional problems.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information.
