Serving a customer base across seven provinces, our advanced solutions include Internet, Mobile, TV, Telephone, Security and Automation, Data Communications, and exclusive locally produced programming on Eastlink Community TV.
We embrace diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility throughout all levels of the organization and encourage members of equity groups to self-identify during the application process.
We’re looking for a strategic and creative Content Manager to join our fast paced, highly collaborative Marketing team. This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, thrives in a fast moving environment, and is excited to test content ideas that drive engagement.
From social and email to web, retail and beyond, you’ll shape the stories that connect us with our audiences, working with teams across the organization to uncover content opportunities and ensure our brand shows up with impact everywhere it lives. You’ll also provide leadership to our in house creatives, partnering with them to turn strategies and stories into compelling visual content.
Key responsibilities:
Content Ideation & Execution
- Lead content planning end to end—from ideation and research through execution— across all owned channels (email, social, web, video, and more).
- Write and edit clear, compelling, on brand copy that aligns with our tone, style guide, and channel best practices.
- Develop storyboards, scripts, and creative concepts that support brand storytelling and campaign needs.
- Conduct research and leverage insights (audience behavior, SEO, market trends) to inform content decisions and identify high value opportunities.
- Use analytics to guide content performance, optimization, and experimentation, delivering pre and post campaign reporting with actionable recommendations.
Planning & Collaboration
- Build and manage a 12 month content plan aligned to business priorities, brand initiatives, and channel opportunities.
- Execute strategies across social, email, newsletters, and additional owned platforms.
- Provide strong creative briefs, direction, and feedback to design partners, collaborating closely to bring content to life.
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders— including Regional Sales, Community TV, People & Culture, Marketing Managers and others— to ensure stories are accurate, aligned, and impactful.
- Attend project meetings, gather business requirements, and translate them into clear content deliverables.
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging formats, and evolving content trends, bringing forward new ideas and opportunities.
- Provide website, social media, and content analytics to guide content performance and strategic adjustments.
- Troubleshoot content related technical issues in collaboration with the IT team.
Organization & Accountability
- Manage timelines, workflows, and editorial calendars to ensure smooth delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain editorial standards, uphold brand tone, and ensure consistency across all content outputs.
- Track content through the full editorial process— from creation to review, approval, and publishing.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast moving environment, fostering strong relationships and shared ownership across teams.
- Oversee the social media budget, ensuring accurate monthly forecasting and tracking.
Lead and Develop
- Provide day to day leadership to a small team of graphic designers, fostering a creative, motivated, and high performing environment.
- Champion effective design processes and recommend improvements to enhance team efficiency and cross functional collaboration.
- Lead by example by modeling high creative standards, constructive feedback, and a solutions oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications, journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years in content development and publishing.
- Leadership experience required.
- Experience and publishing capabilities with all social platforms. Experience using social media scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite desired.
