Job Description
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The FINTRAC Reporting Team conducts processes related to Large Cash Transaction Reporting (LCTR) and Electronic Funds Transfer Reporting (EFTR) to ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting submissions to FINTRAC. In this role, you will participate in the quality control review of these reporting processes to ensure accuracy of the regulatory reporting requirements and adherence to team processes. The role will coordinate, execute, and report, on quality control activities to meet overall quality control program requirements.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Execute quality control reviews on all FINTRAC Reporting Team processes.
- Adhere to the testing schedule to meet Annual Plan expectations.
- Prepare and effectively communicate review testing engagement results with the Senior Managers, FINTRAC Reporting, and the Director, AML Regulatory Reporting.
- Analyze results and identify potential trends that speak to a larger root cause for risks identified
- Collaborate and contribute to potential enhancements to existing process that may result from trending in the quality control review results.
- Establish strong relationships with the Senior Managers, FINTRAC Reporting, and the Senior Manager, Data Quality.
- Follow on risks identified and ensure resolution/remediation activities have been implemented
- Ensure recordkeeping requirements are adhered to on all reviews.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- Experience performing testing engagements or quality control reviews
- Proficient with Microsoft programs (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
- A strong understanding of the FINTRAC PCMLTF regulations related to LCT/EFT reporting
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
