Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Group Sales Consultant, you will provide integrated Group Benefits Insurance planning and advice. You will focus on new sales acquisition and retention as well as serving as the one-point of contact for assigned Group Producers.

What will you do?

  • Identify, build and strengthen relationships with Group insurance advisors

  • Demonstrate commitment to take ownership of client/brokerage problems at first point of contact for assigned employee benefits advisors

  • Deliver a consistently superior client experience through the brokerage by focusing on insurance advice and promoting submission of high-quality insurance applications

  • Represent RBCI within assigned territory to increase market awareness of RBCI Group Brokerage capability

  • Build profitable Group Brokerage relationships, achieving business growth goals, revenue plans and cost controls

  • Develop market intelligence to identify potential new Group Producers appointment opportunities within assigned territory

  • Deliver presentations to Group Producers on sales concepts, market and product updates

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree or equivalent preferred

  • Proven professional sales experience, group insurance related preferred

Nice-to-have

  • Group Insurance License (Autorité des Marchés Financiers)

  • Technical knowledge of Group Benefits product lines

  • CEBS GBA 1 and 2 would be an asset

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
