Job Description
What is the Opportunity?
The ETF Custody group is a part of the ETF Operations team at RBC Investor Services. In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day custody operations for ETF transactions, settling trades and following up on failed trades in order for them to settle on the market for the exchange traded funds. You will maintain a strong client service focus.
What will you do?
Timely and accurate processing of ETF trade instructions including movements of cash - based on a trade cycle
Responsible to settle ETF trades in Canadian and US market and follow-up with brokers on pending/failing trades
Answer client and broker enquires (email/ phone call) related to ETF trades, settlements and reconciliation.
Liaise with various teams within Investor & Treasury services to settle transactions and investigate issues
Instruct cash transactions i.e. management fees and distribution payments
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Understanding of Trade Settlement Cycle
Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders in a professional manner (via email & telephone)
Attention to detail
Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel and MS Office.
Ability to recognize risk and exposure and escalate issues when necessary
Nice-to-have
Canadian Securities Course/Custody 101 an asset
Basic knowledge on ETFs
Familiarity with systems such as Mpower, NYSE – Depository Trust Company, Canadian Depository System & Arrow

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$46,000.00 - $70,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
