What is the Opportunity?
As a member of the Global Distribution Product Management team, RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM), the Data Analyst, Distribution Product Management role will primarily be responsible for supporting data management, analytics & integration of external data feeds, business intelligence reporting and delivering actionable insights for the US Intermediary business as well as other GAM business lines. The successful candidate in this role will combine strong technical data skills with an understanding of the asset management distribution channel. In addition, this role will also support the team on various business analysis, testing and project work, as required.
What will you do?
Data Management, Analytics & Integrations
- Manage ingestion, validation and reconciliation of external data feeds ie: intermediary sales data, AUM data, third party market intelligence
- Analysis, Interpretation & Visualization of data
- Develop automation process for data cleaning and transformation
- Ensure alignment between CRM data and external sales data
- Collaborate and troubleshoot data & feed discrepancies and coordinate with internal/external teams including vendors
Business Intelligence & Strategic Reporting
- Collaborate with business to identify needs, obtain insights and improve processes
- Produce and support recurring and adhoc reporting
- Leverage CRM Analytics, data analytics and other visualization tools to generate actionable insights and metrics
Salesforce enablement & optimization
- Work with Salesforce and other applications and systems, with an understanding of configuration data migration across applications and environments, including validation testing
- Maintain data integrity, governance and hierarchy structures, accounts, contact and territories
- Manage and support reports and dashboards for sales teams including pipeline tracking, reporting and activity metrics
- Collaborate with internal/external teams to enhance workflows and automation
Cross Function Support & Collaboration
- Actively participate in standups, sprints and other meetings and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time to support project deliverables
- Serve as the product ambassador, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product
- Respond to recurring and adhoc requests from internal business stakeholders.
- Assist with salesforce administration and special projects as they arise
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Post-secondary education preferably with focus on data analytics, business or information technology
- Good understanding of the investment management industry, specifically of the intermediary distribution channel
- 2+ years of Salesforce experience including reporting and dashboards
- Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work well in an agile environment
- Keen attention to detail, ability to manage competing deadlines, ability to work independently and within a team, and excellent organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with CRM Analytics or other Data Analytics Visualization tools
- Experience with Jira and applicable work management technology and tools
- Experience with mutual fund data (US Mutual Fund and/or Data Feed experience preferred)
- Previous work experience in asset management

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$55,000.00 - $90,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
