SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and supporting volunteer activities in one or more facilities within the area, as well as in related community programs. They ensure the effective implementation of services offered by volunteers, in line with organizational priorities and community needs. They contribute to enhancing the patient experience by fostering a caring and engaged volunteer presence while ensuring proactive risk management. The incumbent applies departmental policies, collaborates with clinical and administrative teams, and contributes to the continuous improvement of services offered. They participate in the entire volunteer management cycle: recruitment, selection, training, integration, supervision, evaluation, and recognition. They may also be called upon to contribute to the implementation of various projects and mandates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College or university degree in administration or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
  • Professional certification in volunteer resource management (CVA) is an asset;
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365;
  • Knowledge of other software currently used within the Network;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and support individuals from diverse backgrounds;
  • Inspiring leadership and the ability to foster buy-in and commitment;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
