SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Spoken French and English essential and written French or English

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent of the position is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities related to corrective and preventive maintenance in the mechanical and electrical sectors, including related systems, for Zone 5. They keep all architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans of the facilities and sites up to date. They also act as a resource person for the Network as part of certain projects. Related tasks may be assigned from time to time to ensure the proper functioning of the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College-level education in building engineering technology (civil, electrical, mechanical);
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Experience in the construction of public, institutional, commercial, or industrial buildings;
  • Experience in supervision, planning, and project coordination/management;
  • Experience using preventive maintenance software is an asset;
  • Experience in the operation, maintenance, and construction of hospital facilities is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and other software used within the Network;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and MégaMation software is an asset;
  • Leadership, initiative, sound judgment, organizational culture awareness, and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Valid driver's license and availability to use one's own vehicle in the performance of duties;
  • Willingness to travel within the zone or Network territory;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
