Driver Helper

Job Title: Driver Helper

Location: Kingston, Ontario

Shift: Short-term assignment, Monday-Friday - early morning starts, 6-12 hours

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr

This role will support a waste collection facility by helping local drivers collect residential waste and ensure excellent customer service is provided throughout every day. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can consistently lift up to 50 lbs throughout each shift.

Responsibilities:

• Working alongside a D driver, operating a Rear Loader Truck
• Assisting with collecting residential garbage in and around the Kingston area
• Must be physically fit and comfortable with consistently lifting throughout the shift
• Communicate effectively with the driver
• Provide excellent customer service
• Pay attention to detail and your surrounding areas

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to consistently lift bags of waste materials up to 50 lbs
• Punctual and good attendance
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• CSA-approved work boots
• Positive attitude towards workplace and coworkers

Work Conditions:

On the road making deliveries; must wear comfortable clothing coordinating with outside weather conditions. Must be comfortable working in an environment with various odours.
