Job Title: Shipper and Receiver, Counterbalance Forklift

Location: Guelph, ON

Pay Rate: $23 - $25.00 /hr.

Employment Type: Days full-time

We are looking for a Shipper and Receiver to support a production facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both forklift work and general warehouse duties. About 60 percent of the shift will involve operating a counterbalance forklift, with the rest focused on organizing/staging shipments, supporting production flow, and keeping the warehouse running smoothly.

Position Overview

The Shipper and Receiver is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of materials in and out of the facility. We need someone who works ahead instead of waiting for instructions. The right person will anticipate what production needs, placement of goods in the warehouse, identify problems early, and help keep operations on track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload trucks, move pallets, and deliver materials to production areas.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, verify counts, and complete all required paperwork.
  • Receive incoming goods, inspect materials, and update inventory records.
  • Support production by organizing raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Work proactively with Production and Quality teams to avoid delays and resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Complete routine forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Assist with cycle counts and general inventory control.
  • Suggest improvements to support efficiency and smoother workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Valid counterbalance forklift certification.
  • Experience in a shipper and receiver role or warehouse environment, preferably within manufacturing or production.
  • Comfortable with spending approximately 60% of the shift on a forklift.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and stay ahead of daily tasks.
  • Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks when required.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply today with your resume and join a team committed to quality and safety in every move.
