Dispatcher

Job Title :Dispatcher - transportation
Location: Cambridge, ON
Shift/Hours:9:00 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday

Pay Rate:$23.00 - 25.00/hr.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a proactive and dependable person to support our customer's transportation team as a Dispatcher, playing a key role in coordinating daily operations and driver activity in a fast-paced environment. You will manage incoming requests, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure drivers receive timely information to operate safely and efficiently.

Job Description

• Coordinate schedules for city drivers and outside carriers for LTL deliveries
• Communicate clear instructions with all parties
• Monitor and track shipments and relay information
• Provide clear communication, resolve shipment issues and delays

Requirements

• Previous dispatching experience operating in a fast-paced environment
• Above average knowledge in transportation
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable with multitasking
• Previous experience with AS400 is preferred
