About the Role
As a Business Analyst you will be expected to:
- Work with multiple areas to facilitate, develop and document business, operational and technical procedures, materials and templates.
- Analyze business and data workflows and prepare the appropriate documentation which includes workflow diagrams and use case documents. This will include system integration and fit/gap analysis.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients across all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
- Assist with project related activities as needed to ensure work plans are complete and being adhered to. This would include input from scope, issue and risk management activities.
- Create visual process maps of the request intake -to-fulfillment workflow to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
- Develop reports on request volumes by month, department, or data type, and forecast future workload based on historical trends.
- Define and track key performance indicators such as time-to-respond, request complexity levels, number of escalations, ect.
- Effectively communicate and document business and IT information in line with agreed processes and procedures.
- Facilitate and lead group meetings for requirement gathering while documenting outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to governance and Digital Health standards (e.g., privacy and security)
- Contribute to project success as a project team member under the guidance of project management.
About You
Your education and experience include:
- Bachelor?s degree in Business, or relevant education, training and experience, along with Business Analysis Certificate, or course completion.
- Minimum of three years' experience, preferable in a health-related field.
- Ability to action business analysis or project management methodology and tools.
You have the following skills and abilities:
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills; experience in stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Demonstrated ability to extract quality information from a diverse group of stakeholders under limited time constraints.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be a detail oriented, analytical and an independent thinker, and be able to focus on details in the midst of change.
- Capable of managing to a deadline.
- Strong written skills; able to compile and organize technical and non-technical information from a variety of sources.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project.
- Knowledge of the province?s health care system.
