The Digital Marketing Specialist (Email Marketing and Content Development) plays a pivotal role in shaping how our brand connects with our members and target audiences across digital channels. Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing, the Specialist will lead the strategic development, execution, and optimization of engaging email marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and growth. This role empowers you to get creative and develop impactful digital experiences that resonate with target audiences and align with broader organizational goals.

Working in close collaboration with marketing managers across multiple lines of business, the data and analytics team, and key campaign stakeholders, the Digital Marketing Specialist will transform insights into action. You'll design and implement integrated campaigns that blend compelling email and social media content, ensuring messaging consistency, personalization, and excellence in every touchpoint. From building targeted and segmented mailing lists to conducting A/B testing and analyzing performance metrics, you'll use data to continuously refine strategy and improve results.

Beyond campaign execution, this position contributes to the narrative of our brand by creating meaningful content that engages customers and strengthens member loyalty. You'll play an active part in developing the concept and build creative digital assets-from visually appealing layouts to persuasive copy that motivates action. Staying current with evolving marketing technologies, platforms, and best practices will be essential to enhance efficiency, innovation, and audience engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on digital marketing strategies that integrate email and social content.
  • Build, test, and execute email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and manage segmented email lists.
  • Design, write, and send marketing emails with tailored messaging and creative layouts.
  • Monitor email campaign performance for accuracy, efficiency, and results.
  • Support the development of social media content aligned with campaign goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain digital marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current marketing trends and practices.
  • Produce reports on campaign performance and strategic recommendations.
  • Use customer insights and campaign data to inform future email and social strategies.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators across email and social channels.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in digital engagement.
  • Collaborate with other marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across channels.
  • Contributes to broader marketing goals like member engagement, retention, revenue growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on email and/or social media.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, HTML, and publishing/analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop); Adobe Experience Manager is a bonus.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, including experience with advertising copy.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Design experience is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of accessibility emails, A/B Testing, customer journey mapping
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, in a fast-paced environment
