DUTIES
The successful applicant will perform advanced administrative and general clerical work requiring initiative and judgement, with some administrative responsibility under the general supervision of the Head, School of Maritime Studies. Duties include communicating information related to the Head's Office; providing administrative support for the activities of school faculty and staff; ensuring the efficient office operation of a multifaceted office area; maintaining budget records for various school accounts; screening visitors; arranging meetings; maintaining appointment schedules; taking minutes, maintaining and organizing filing system; liaising with the public and various government and non-government agencies; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable experience (3-5 years) in responsible clerical and secretarial work; and graduation from a two-year office administration course or similar. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Strong organizational, communication and time management skills are required. Proficiency in word processing and general office procedures is also required.
SALARY: $49,794 - $58,412 per annum (NAPE Local 7850)
