The SRE & Monitoring Tools team's mandate is to provide monitoring tools and champion best SRE practices for the bank.

The team leverages industry's best monitoring tools and practices and offers full stack end-to-end monitoring services in the Bank, including Canadian Banking, International Banking, and Wealth Management.

The team offers consulting services, creates and maintains SRO reports, deploys monitoring tools, investigates performance bottlenecks, and supports production incidents.

Reporting to Senior Architect, SRE & Monitoring Tools team, the Application Performance Management Specialist will be a monitoring tool and SRE subject matter expert that involves in the day-to-day operations of the team.


Is this role right for you?
• You get to manage and maintain end-to-end performance for all applications, workloads and environments.
• You analyze performance data and act on negative performance trends to identify root cause.
• You get to support and enhance the existing monitoring systems as required to support the implementation of new business applications and technology.
• You will utilize your ability to implement and exploit performance tools from 3rd party vendors; plus participate in the technical assessments of 3rd party tools and vendors.
• You will consult with the development teams on large projects to provide PCM services, ensuring:
o There are no monitoring gaps
o The design has been optimized from a cost perspective
o The accuracy of the capacity plan
o The completeness of the stress testing process

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
• 5-8 years of experience in the industry, preferably financial technology space.
• Engineering background or technology degree preferred.
• You have some hands-on technical Dynatrace working experience.
• You have some synthetic monitoring experience.
• You have some technical working experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure hosted infrastructure & systems.
• You have some technical working knowledge in CI/CD development, such as BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• You have at least 3 years of hands-on technical working experience in performance tuning and capacity planning.
• You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
