Internship Placement for Fall 2025 Term

Salary: $17.50/hour

Hours per week: Flexible (around 20 hours)

Placement Duration: September – December 2025

Department: Post Secondary Education Training and Labor (PETL)

Placement Description: The successful candidate will work directly with clients to help them with their job search and career planning. They will assist clients in creating strong resumes and guide those who are unsure about their career goals. The role includes providing job coaching and helping clients gain the skills they need to return to the workforce and find employment. Other responsibilities include keeping accurate records of client files, conducting assessments to identify challenges clients may face, and creating personalized employment action plans. The successful candidate will also work with Workforce Consultants to place clients who have limited or outdated experience into work settings that help them build new skills for their resumes. They may also give presentations and perform other related tasks as required.

This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.

Need to have:

• Language requirement: Bilingual
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (e.g., Human Resources, Social Work, Psychology, Career Development, or related field)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with public speaking and providing peer support
