About the Role:
We are currently looking for a PMO and Resource Manager to lead the Project Manager Office (PMO).
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establishes and maintains a standard set of processes and templates for managing projects consistently and efficiently to reduce project related risk and costs.
- Provides guidance and recommendations on project approaches (i.e. agile, waterfall) to project
delivery teams placing emphasis on the quality of decision making and timely project delivery. - Collects and reports project data to support effective decision-making.
- Provide consulting, training, tools, best practice and promotion of common project management
and portfolio methods. - Provides and enables project prioritization, management information, project/program financial
reporting, resource planning and recruitment. - Monitors and reports on project compliance with established standards to ensure the
organization adheres to agreed policies and standards. - Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed.
- Provides project and portfolio level reporting and project scorecards.
- Promotes project services and priorities across the organization.
- Collects, consolidates and analyzes program and project data to support effective decision making.
- Contributes to reviews and audits of project and program management to ensure compliance to
set standards. - Analyze and report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and
prioritized view of all projects. - Monitor Project overhead and capital expenses to ensure achievement of cost efficiency and
acting to correct any adverse variances. - Controls resource-related cross-project interdependencies.
- Sources/brokers and allocates project resource assignments to ensure project requirements are
met while satisfying other organizational objectives. - Works with other Digital Health partners to secure project resources.
- Communicates resource allocations/changes/risks to appropriate stakeholders.
- Acts as escalation point for project resource-related conflicts or issues impacting project delivery
and business owner satisfaction. - Develops and manages relationships with private sector partners to ensure effective identification
of external resources. - RFP creation, response review, rating and interview/selection of candidates.
- Educates Digital Health staff on the proper resource allocation protocol.
- Participates in regular, quarterly strategic planning sessions with senior management and executive, discussing future directions for Digital Health as a clinical information provider for the province.
- Represents Digital Health on various jurisdictional committees to ensure establishment and refinement of processes and standards.
About You:
Your education and experience:
- Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology or other relevant discipline
- Project Management Training and/or certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a Project Management Office (PMO)/project coordination and resource planning role in a project management environment.
- PMP Certification is preferred.
- EHR knowledge as defined by Canada Health Infoway.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of information technology, project and portfolio management and policy development.
- In-depth knowledge of resource management processes and procedures, preferably in a project environment.
- In-depth knowledge of, and an ability to adapt, best practice project management principles, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the procurement cycle and processes and proposal/evaluation processes.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
