About the Role:
The Manager of Clinical Adoption is accountable to oversee the development and implementation of program operations plans, annual budget management, related resource management needs in collaboration with NLHS stakeholders. The Manager continuously measures, monitors & mitigates effectiveness of change leadership/clinical adoption plans & activities/deliverables, identifies problems and promotion of solutions.
The Manager of Clinical Adoption reports to the Director of eHealth Solution Delivery and is responsible for the following:
- Leads and provides strategic direction on the development, management, implementation and evaluation of eHealth strategies to increase adoption of NLHS eHealth systems.
- Leads and directs the eHealth change management team to ensure NLHS eHealth systems are successfully utilized by authorized health care professionals. Responsible for ensuring NLHS strategic and operational objectives related to the utilization of eHealth systems are achieved.
- Directs the management of the change leadership team through proper resourcing, identifying priorities, process improvement while ensuring compliance with proper human resource management policies and procedures.
- Acts as the escalation point for issues and concerns raised by users of NLHS's eHealth systems. The Manager is accountable for developing and implementing the appropriate course of action for end user escalations.
- Oversees and manages the development of education and training materials that support the successful utilization of NLHS?s eHealth programs and systems.
- Establishes and maintains the appropriate processes, policies and controls related to signing on new users of eHealth systems.
- Responsible for the physician group of eHealth users, and coordinating physician sign ons, and developing and implementing a plan to target this specific group of users.
- Builds and maintains relationships with a number of stakeholders such as Canada Health Infoway, health care professional associations, Memorial Faculty Programs (including Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing).
- Contributes to the development of business case(s) that are developed to guide future programs and systems developed and maintained by Digital Health.
- Reviews and provides recommendations on requests for additional access of information from eHealth end users.
- Leads the development and implementation of evaluation metrics that measure the effectiveness of the effort by the change leadership team, and the utilization of eHealth programs and systems. This includes metrics and analysis to track end user utilization to meet and exceed Canada Health Infoway funding targets.
- Provides support to existing project and program teams, providing guidance/advice on early clinical governance needs, early design of change leadership/clinical adoption strategies, evaluation of end user adoption, for further team development and implementation.
- Leads development of change leadership budget and resource planning/capacity, work scope/planning processes.
- Provides strategic advice to identify barriers to the implementation & adoption of eHealth systems initiatives that will enhance acceptance; cultivate ideas from health professionals on how we can use technology to address issues for purpose of improving patient care and stakeholder access to information.
- Leads design, development, evaluation of change leadership/clinical adoption framework including working internally to advise project and program, change leadership team resources and external stakeholders where applicable.
- Manages the human and financial resources of the division ensuring compliance with NLHS's policies and procedures.
About You:
Your education and experience include:
- Completion of Bachelor?s or Master?s degree and combination of experiences in a clinical and/or healthcare background (Nursing, pharmacy or other) from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Experience and familiarity with the provincial health system is highly recommended.
- Minimum of 5+ years? experience in the health care field, change leadership, stakeholder engagement, adult education.
