In our Calgary, Alberta office, formallyMcIntosh Lalani Engineering,Englobe is pleased to offer an opportunity to multiple ambitiousindividuals to perform field testing and inspection.
Your Contribution
As a Geotechnical Field Technician/Technologist, you will work in collaboration with theGeotechnical Engineering Teamand your main responsibilitieswill be:
  • Deep and shallow foundation inspections for residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Retaining Wall inspections.
  • Inspection of Geosynthetic Clay Liner installation for Storm ponds.
  • Conductingsoil investigations for geotechnical design. This includes soil classification, sampling,recording field data, inputting, and submission to Project Engineers.
  • Communicating results effectively withonsite personnel and Englobe supervisor.
  • Reviewing and properly referencing construction drawings.
  • Maintaining proper records of field testing and preparing daily test summary reports.

Your Profile
  • Experience in construction and/orsoil andaggregatetestingis an asset;
  • Eligible for membership with ASET or APEGA;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Must have a validClass 5Alberta Driver's License and submitadrivers abstract;
  • Demonstrated interest and sensitivity towards occupational health and safety;
  • Willingness to work regular construction hours (Mon-Sat 10-12hrs/day)

Qualifications:
