Overview:Our client is seeking a Project Manager for their Transformation Project. The project is to transform their system to improve patient care and support strategic healthcare system alignment by leading the coordinated planning and integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services and delivering centralized business functions to support the delivery of care across provincial health organizations. The largest change to the system in a generation requires proven, province-wide leadership with broad jurisdictional experience across multiple areas of clinical delivery and business functions to build an integrated leadership team and effective pan system relationships that drive strategic and sustainable outcomes, enable the work of partner service delivery organizations, provide centralized business functions and provincial health services. The client operates a hospital and provides a broad group of health delivery services spanning all areas of care including primary, acute and continuous across the province in urban, rural and remote areas.
What you will be doing:
  • Project initiation and planning; plan, organize and lead small project teams; assist with managing projects from initial planning stages to production implementation; Assist project staff.
  • Budget development, tracking, and variance reporting; create and maintain project plans, issue logs, and change control under direction of Project Manager and Project Management Office.
  • Resource planning and assignment.
  • Stakeholder analysis to identify the key project Stakeholders and their expectations.
  • Project tracking and status reporting.
  • Issue management, including issue logging, tracking, and escalation.
  • Project change management, utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Quality management, including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptance.
  • Risk management, including risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking risk status, and initiating contingency plans.
  • Communication management, including communication planning and execution of the plan.
  • Deliverable acceptance process, including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be used.
  • Track and monitor project risks; track and monitor project priorities to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports and communications, provide administrative oversight for project tracking and reporting.
What you must have:
  • Valid PMP certification
  • 10 years' managing projects that incorporated organizational change management strategies and plans, using a structured methodology such as Prosci. The response should include at least 3 examples, including the duration of the project or work, totaling at least 10 years, and specifying the methodology applied
  • 10 years' experience as a Project Manager including budget creation and cost tracking, assignment of resources and managing interdependencies in delivering a combination of technology, business and process change, in a complex sector such as healthcare, financial services or other public sectors. The response should include at least 3 examples, including duration of the project or work that totals at least 10 years.
  • 5 years' experience implementing large transformational projects including organizational and service redesign projects. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that totals at least 5 years. Please specify the organizational or service redesign component.
  • 10 years' experience as a Project Manager working on projects in a healthcare environment. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that totals at least 10 years. At least one example should include the deployment of dashboards for executive-level stakeholders.
  • 5 years' experience providing program or project leadership of large business transformation activities, including planning and program/project management, working with executive leaders, oversight of project managers/team leaders, organizational change management, risk management, and reporting to executive sponsors. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that total at least 5 years.
  • 2 years' experience as a Project Manager implementing software solutions designed to support digital or mobile healthcare. The response should include at least 1 example including the duration of the project or work that totals at least 2 years.
  • 1 year of experience as a Project Manager implementing major clinical changes with Health Care. The response should include at least 1 example including the duration of the project or work that totals at least 1 year.
