Overview:Our client is seeking a Project Manager for their Transformation project. Their transformation project is transforming the provincial healthcare system to improve patient care and support strategic healthcare system alignment by leading the coordinated planning and integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services and delivering centralized business functions to support the delivery of care across provincial health organizations. The largest change to the provincial health-care system in a generation requires proven, province-wide leadership with broad jurisdictional experience across multiple areas of clinical delivery and business functions to build an integrated leadership team and effective pan-system relationships that drive strategic and sustainable outcomes, enable the work of partner service delivery organizations, provide centralized business functions and provincial health services. The client operates a jurisdictional tertiary hospital and provides a broad group of health delivery services spanning all areas of care including primary, acute and continuous across the province in urban, rural and remote areas.
What you will be doing:
  • Project initiation and planning; plan, organize and lead small project teams; assist with managing projects from initial planning stages to production implementation; Assist project staff.
  • Budget development, tracking, and variance reporting; create and maintain project plans, issue logs, and change control under direction of Project Manager and Project Management Office.
  • Resource planning and assignment.
  • Stakeholder analysis to identify the key project Stakeholders and their expectations.
  • Project tracking and status reporting.
  • Issue management, including issue logging, tracking, and escalation.
  • Project change management, utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Quality management, including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptance.
  • Risk management, including risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking risk status, and initiating contingency plans.
  • Communication management, including communication planning and execution of the plan.
  • Deliverable acceptance process, including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be used.
  • Track and monitor project risks; track and monitor project priorities to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports and communications, provide administrative oversight for project tracking and reporting.
What you must have:
  • 10 years' experience as a Program Executive, Program Director or Senior Project Manager, managing and implementing complex, enterprise-wide transformation programs in a commercial, government or jurisdictional business environment. The response should include at least 2 examples, including duration of the project or work that totals at least 10 years.
  • 10 years' experience as a a Program Executive, Program Director or Senior Project Manager, managing and implementing enterprise-wide workforce-based transformation initiatives including organizational design, workforce planning and modelling, and managing interdependencies in delivering a combination of organizational change, resource planning, business and process change, in a complex sector such as healthcare, financial services or commercial business sectors. The response should include at least 2 examples, including duration of the project or work that totals at least 10 years
  • 10 years' experience managing complex third-party professional service and stakeholder relationships in a commercial, government or health care environment. The response should include at least 2 examples, including duration of the project or work that totals at least 10 years
  • 10 years' experience as a Senior Project Manager including budget creation and cost tracking, assignment of resources and managing interdependencies delivering a combination of technology, business and process change, in a complex sector such as healthcare, financial services or commercial business sectors. The response should include at least 2 examples, including the duration of the project or work that totals at least 10 years.
  • 5 years' managing projects that incorporated organizational change management strategies and plans, using a structured methodology such as Prosci. The response should include at least 2 examples, including the duration of the project or work totaling at least 5 years and specifying the methodology applied.
  • 8 years' experience managing programs in a complex jurisdictional environment that includes senior level (e.g. Executive Committees, Treasury Board, Cabinet, Boards, etc.) interaction anod communications. The response should include at least 3 examples
  • Proven strong interpersonal and communications skills in dealing with commercial professionals, government officials and/or public stakeholders. The response should provide 3 examples of the nature, scope and level of interactions undertaken by the candidate
