Job Title: Project Manager - TransformationJob ID: KM5593965530Location: Winnipeg, MB Overview:Our client leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Their Provincial Health System Transformation project is transforming the provincial healthcare system to improve patient care and support strategic healthcare system alignment by leading the coordinated planning and integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services and delivering centralized business functions to support the delivery of care across provincial health organizations. The largest change to the provincial health-care system in a generation requires proven, province-wide leadership with broad jurisdictional experience across multiple areas of clinical delivery and business functions to build an integrated leadership team and effective pan-system relationships that drive strategic and sustainable outcomes, enable the work of partner service delivery organizations, provide centralized business functions and provincial health services. Our c operates a jurisdictional tertiary hospital and provides a broad group of health delivery services spanning all areas of care including primary, acute and continuous across the province in urban, rural and remote areas. What you will be doing:
  • Project initiation and planning.
  • Budget development, tracking, and variance reporting.
  • Resource planning and assignment.
  • Stakeholder analysis to identify the key project Stakeholders and their expectations.
  • Project tracking and status reporting.
  • Issue management, including issue logging, tracking, and escalation.
  • Project change management, utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Quality management, including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptance.
  • Risk management, including risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking risk status, and initiating contingency plans.
  • Communication management, including communication planning and execution of the plan.
  • Deliverable acceptance process, including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be used.
What you must have:
  • 10 years' experience as a Project Manager. The response should include at least 3 examples including duration of the project or work that total at least 10 years. At least one example should include planning for an SAP implementation or migration.
  • 10 years' experience as a Project Manager developing and implementing IT Service Management processes in a large enterprise. The response should include at least 1 example including duration of the project or work that totals at least 10 years.
  • 5 years' experience as a Project Manager managing projects with widely distributed project teams and stakeholder groups nationally (across multiple jurisdictions, i.e. Provinces). The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work and specifics on the team distribution that total at least 5 years.
  • 2 years' experience implementing a Project Management Office (PMO). Experience should include the establishment of methodology that aligns with the PMBOK and indicators for measuring the effectiveness of project delivery. The response should include at least 1 example including duration of the project or work that totals at least 2 years.
  • 3 years' experience as a Project Manager working on projects in the healthcare environment. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that totals at least 3 years. At least one example should include the development of a Project Brief or business case to support the implementation of a clinical system.
  • 2 years' experience planning the establishment of provincial healthcare service organizations and contributing to the planning of service consolidation into those organizations. Activities should include transition planning of leadership and corporate functions into the new organization. The response should include at least 1 example including duration of the project or work that totals at least 2 years.
