Mandate:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of TradeAid, the Supply Chain Solutions Manager is responsible for assessing, creating and developing solutions based on the complex needs of both regional/global strategic opportunities to present viable options to the clients. The Supply Chain Solutions Manager is also responsible for ensuring the supply chain solutions exceed customer expectations both in terms of efficiency gains and financial cost savings.

Other responsibilities:

• Perform data analysis in order to provide in-depth information on potential/active customer raw data.

• Identify existing problems with clients' transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.

• Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the financial impact of logistics activities.

• Initiate solution design based on data analysis (i.e., gap analysis) regarding supply chain activities, including means of transporting products or supplies.

• Drive usage of cost models to validate freight transportation strategies and to understand significant cost drivers.

• Collaborate with other departments to adapt logistics solutions to integrate with existing client business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.

• Other duties, as assigned.


Requirements:

• University Undergrad or Graduate degree in Supply Chain/Business Administration or related field is preferred

• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in the freight forwarding/logistics field

• Previous experience in logistics processes and systems/models is an asset

• Previous experience working across the mining value chain (i.e. cost optimization, asset and labour productivity, process improvement, finance and supply chain optimization)

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, VLOOKUP, VBA, Python

• Advanced knowledge of BI, previous experience in Power BI (or Tableau)
